FG to complete central rail line soon – Amaechi

The Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi, yesterday, told the Senate that the central rail lineprojectconnectingseveral communitiesof northernand southern Nigeria would be completed by June next year.

The Minister gave the information when he met with the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts over President Buhari’s request for Senate to approve $5.5 billion loan to finance some of the deficits in the 2017 budget. It would be recalled that a large portion of the central rail project, which covers the Itakpe to Warri axis was initiated by the former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration more than 10 years ago.
