World heavyweight boxing
champion Anthony Joshua has cheekily denied having an affair with
Faryal, the estranged wife of fellow British boxer Amir Khan.
The couple had been
embroiled in a bitter online spat over their impending divorce and, in a
fit of anger and jealousy, Khan had dragged Joshua into the matter and
tweeted that the Nigerian-born boxer could have his 'leftovers'.
"So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split. I'm
currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best," former world light
welterweight champion Khan, 30, tweeted at the beginning of a rant.
"Faryal moved on quick. Always mentioned to me how much she wanted to be with another guy, from all people another boxer
@anthonyfjoshua.
"Left my family and friends for this Faryal. I'm not hurt
but another fighter. I'm making it public. You getting the divorce
#Golddigger.
"Mans like Joshua can have my left overs!"
Joshua, 27, lightheartedly protested his innocence,
tweeting a video of the 2000 pop classic by Jamaican superstar Shaggy
'It Wasn't Me'.
He then added later: "Bantz aside, I hope you guys can
resolve your situation or this is a hack as we have never even met! Plus
I like my women BBW #ItWasntMe."
