President Muhammadu Buhari receives victorious D’Tigress in Aso Villa

Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday morning, received the victorious senior female basketball team of the country, D’Tigress in the Aso Villa, Abuja.

President Buhari also announced cash reward of 1 million naira for each player, while the officials will receive half a million naira.

D’Tigress went the whole tournament unbeaten, finally defeating defending champions Senegal 65-48 to win the trophy in Mali on Sunday night.

With the Sunday outcome, Nigeria has also picked up one of the two available tickets to represent Africa in the world championships in Spain and will head to the world championship as African champions.
